Garth Nichols is a Senior Manager in the EY Financial Services practice where he assists in leading the national Risk Cyber security governance team in providing comprehensive IT Risk and Security services to Financial Services Firms across North America, including IT Security Maturity Assessments, Internal Audit Cyber Coverage Assessments, Attack and Penetration Testing, IT Governance Assessments, and developing IT Security and Governance programs
Thomas Humphrey has been responsible for merchant client risk management operations at Vantiv, headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, since 2004. Thomas is a member of Visa’s Risk Executive Council and MasterCard’s US Fraud Advisory Council. Prior to joining Vantiv in 2004, Thomas held a similar role at Fleet National Bank in Providence, RI for 3 years.
Douglas Meal is a seasoned trial lawyer representing companies in complex transaction-related disputes arising from all varieties of business agreements. Most recently, he has played a leading role in the firm’s privacy and data security practice, specializing particularly in representing clients targeted by litigation and government investigations stemming from highly publicized data security breaches.

Cary Lyne is the President and Managing Principal of CJL Risk Enterprises, LLC. Mr. Lyne is also a Member of GARP’s Chicago Chapter Committee. Mr. Lyne was recently the President of the GARP Buy Side Risk Managers Forum roundtable of Executive Risk Officers from the Asset Management Industry. He has over twenty years of experience in risk management leadership roles at Chicago-based financial services companies, including Northern Trust, Bank One, and First Chicago. Mr. Lyne also spent two years as a Senior Quantitative Risk Analyst at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) in Washington DC.
