    Dear Brother Khalid,

    Apologies for not been able to revert back quickly as i just came back from your part of the world.

    I agree only small percentage of senior management of organisations feel the importance of GRC due to the reasons you mentioned.

    In addition, Committees lack knowledge and skills to understand the importance of it but it seems people have started to realise slowly.


    I appreciate your comments and look forward to contribution from you.

    Please don't hesitate to start a topic should you wish to discuss something that would interest this group.

    Dear brother Fayaz

    Thanks for the above disc., working in the ME for +13 years in diversified risk silos like new business and technology development, plant and project engineering, ERM etc... my conclusion is that for ME region the biggest barriers are (in importance order):

    1- Existing Sr. Management's level of interest, competency and involvement

    2- Lack of mature Biz. process/best practices/integration

    3- Support to improve

What are the challenges Senior Managers in Middle East face to convince theie Audit/Business Assurance committees to implemenet enterprise wide risk management framework/solutions?

Speaking to a client from one of the GCC countries recently i was told that committees do see it an important area due to the clarity from from the regulators to have a robust GRC in place, however, they are yet resisting to adopt technology/solutions to assist with that.
