A comprehensive market assessment by MarkNtel Advisors reveals that India’s vermicompost market was valued at USD 188.4 million in 2025 and is projected to reach USD 204.6 million in 2026 and USD 339.7 million by 2032, registering a CAGR of 8.82% during 2026–2032. Solid vermicompost accounts for approximately 85% of demand, while field crops represent around 42% of applications. North India leads the regional landscape with approximately 31% share.
Organic Farming Expansion Strengthens Demand
India’s expanding organic and natural farming ecosystem is creating a sustained demand base for vermicompost. The report notes that 5.975 million hectares had been brought under organic farming through the Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY) and the Mission Organic Value Chain Development for North Eastern Region (MOVCDNER) as of December 2024.
