I have been Project Managing IT projects for over 15 years. Part of that time I was installing and supporting all aspects of IT, from designing and installing infrastructures to managing software application development and implementation. Each project was in support of different Industries. About 9 years ago, I took a certification class in BC/DR Planning from the Disaster Recovery Institute. I then went on to Manage the Disaster recovery planning for diverse clients. I am currently in a sales role for small company that has developed natural products for bio-remediation. They containing emulsifiers, natural biocatalysts, oil eating microbes. these products have the potential to reduce risk because they emulsify spilled hydrocarbons, taking away the potential for the oil or gas to catch fire, they increase the friction ratio taking away the potential for slips and falls. and the specific microbes set out to Immediately begin to digest the spilled oil. These products allow for a rapid in-situ remediation for of Hydrocarbon Spills. The challenge is getting this new information to the companies that are still digging up toxic soil and paying companies to haul it off. There are many was to mitigate risk but we are very small and it is difficult to get the word out.
