Anzar Hasan is an Information Security Consultant who provides advisory services to Clients to implement industry best practices and optimizing existing policies and procedures to stream line the Governance, Risk and Control strategies.Currently he is working with Deloitte & Touche LLP. Previously, Mr. Hasan served as Risk and Control Consultant for JP Morgan Chase Bank and was responsible for Global Information Security Risk and Control Activities while served as liaison with EMEA and Asia Pacific in addition to continental U.S. regions. He was also responsible for coordinating with external and internal Audit activities including compliance to governmental and standard bodies standards i.e. Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) etc. Prior to serving at JP Morgan Chase Bank, Mr. Hasan served as Enterprise Information Security Consultant for CVS Caremark, where he oversaw all compliance activates including Payment Card Industry (PCI) Standards, HIPAA and GLBA. Mr. Hasan migrated to the United States in 1996 after finishing his 3 year assignment on behalf of the Government of Pakistan to Saudi Government in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with SCECO (Saudi Consolidated Electric Company) where he was the Consultant for Backbone Fiber Optic Network and evaluated and certified the work done by Alcatel Italy. Mr. Hasan got voluntary retirement from Ministry of Communication Pakistan ( Pakistan Telephone & Telegraph) as The Project Director, after severing 10 years and completed several projects that were financed by ADB (Asian Development Bank) , IMF (International Monitoring Fund) and other United Nations Organization (UNO) subsidiaries. Mr. Hasan earned his B.S. degree in Electronics from NED University of Engineering & Technology Karachi, Pakistan in 1983. He has several information Security Certifications and underwent numerous management & finance courses and training in France and Switzerland with Institute De Formation Alcatel France and ITU (International Telecommunication Union) Switzerland and other global & local institutions. Mr. Hasan actively involved in activities of United Nations Association of the United States of America and UNICEF. He serves on the board of numerous educational and social service organizations.
