My experience for the last 20 years has been AVP and then Vice-President at Banque AIG, subsidiary of AIG-FP, created in November 1990 in Paris to develop AIG-FP derivative business in Europe and Asia. I was mainly directly involved in: -4 audits from French Banking Commissioners (Commission Bancaire now called ACP), -implementing the accounting, regulatory and tax reporting with a main focus at building a comprehensive system using the internal Oracle datase. The end result is that we have a daily access to the balance-Sheet/PnL/liquidity and solvency ratio with an audit trail by position and risk buckets allowing Banque AIG to give robust answers to the regulators with in-depth analysis of the variances.
