Partner, law firm, construction law and litigation representing builders, contractors, developers and land owners. My practice focuses primarily on construction law where I am called on as a counselor, litigator, and noted speaker in regard to issues involving land owners, general contractors, developers, and builders. I have a varied practice with significant experience in representing companies to address risk management issues, handling their litigation and drafting critical documents and procedures. I work with builders, developers, land owners, and general contractors to assist in their risk management from inception of a project to post-construction issues. I can assist with and handle development issues including real estate transactions of drafting contracts, FHA and DRE compliance documents, and assisting in due diligence on procurement of land. Additionally, I can address construction-related claims during the construction process, including delay claims, cost overruns, and contract issues as well as construction site injury/wrongful death claims. My practice also covers responding to claims involving warranty, customer service, and water intrusion/mold claims, and litigating complex construction defect cases, as well as toxic tort litigation. I have developed further expertise in defending against California Proposition 65 (a consumer protection law regulating warnings about toxic substances) and regularly advise multi-national and Fortune 500 clients on compliance and related litigation. Areas of emphasis: Construction related-risk management, transactions, and litigation.
