I hold a highly desirable combination of commercial business acumen and technical HSE knowledge with an excellent reputation in the African safety arena, especially in developing nations where HSE culture is still a relatively new concept. I possess many years of experience operating at Senior Executive level but equally capable of dealing with and communicating issues at grass-roots level. My experience includes all aspects of managing H&S in sectors across a broad range of heavy industries along with an ability to manage complex and diverse programmes for single or multiple stakeholders, addressing project compliance and providing leadership to internal and external clients. With a significant level of experience in the development of bespoke H&S management systems, I always work to current legislation, policies and procedures in line with enforcement agency expectations. My experience in multi-national and multi-cultural organisations allows me to communicate effectively and diplomatically at all staff levels, I have a particularly strong ability to coach and mentor using many different forms of training by focusing on the behavioral aspects of working in a safe environment. I can also develop customised models to address business needs and support growth, introduce financial planning and budgeting systems, design and implement Key Performance Indicators monitoring both on a project and business unit basis.
