Chris Bidwell is a full time Navy officer who is also an adjunct professor at Georgetown University where he teaches a graduate level course he designed entitled: “Current Issues in Nonproliferation and International Relations”. His current military assignment is at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), which is the Department of Defense agency responsible for covering all issues related to WMD. A major part of his duties involve leading the Washington Program on Nonproliferation Policy and Law (a consortium involving Georgetown University, the Monterey Institute and Arizona State University). His efforts have focused on lawfare, sanctions, attribution, over the horizon threats, nonproliferation and arms control. In addition he has organized multiple Track II dialogues with India, Pakistan and various Middle East countries. He is often invited to be a guest speaker on WMD issues at universities and think tanks throughout the world.
