I currently serve the captive insurance industry as CEO and President of Captive Global, LLC -- an online resource currently publishing the quarterly trade eMagazine, Captive Visions. Prior to launching Captive Global in February of 2014, I was CEO of Captive.com, LLC, leading the strategic and operational aspects of the news website, Captive.com, for over 18 years. After much negotiating, I turned over the website to my partners late in January of 2014. My goal is to provide the industry with online tools that will assist captive professionals in more successfully running their businesses. Through Captive Visions, the product is in-depth information. Lots of it. Where we take Captive Global down the road depends on industry needs and technological capacity to assist. The next project under consideration is an online, searchable captive industry database offering aggregate data supplied by international captive jurisdictions. We know that such data is desired. What we do not know is whether captive professionals are willing to pay for it. Your comments on the database project and other ways we can serve the industry are most welcome.
