I have spent the majority of my career in the “less traveled” space of the asset management business--risk management--working collaboratively with investors to help them capitalize on their convictions while keeping their portfolios optimal from a risk perspective. A risk manager’s message has to be objective, actionable, credible, and clear. My perspective and approach is fashioned from many years as an asset manager on the equity, global fixed income, asset allocation, as well as the currency side. I have built out investment and enterprise risk management teams and programs as well as overseen equity trading and trading operations. I believe strongly in management by example. The power of technology can never be underestimated. I understand programming structure, and have successfully integrated skilled IT developers within the investment management business that has resulted in robust and expandable applications. My roles have afforded me extensive and hands-on working relationships with technology, operations, finance, audit, legal and compliance. I have always enjoyed public speaking, and present frequently to various stakeholders including potential and existing investors; plan sponsors, consultants, and Boards of Directors.
