I am an expert and advisor on property casualty claims operations. I retired in February, 2013 from my position as Chief Claims Officer for QBE the Americas, the US operating arm of Australian insurance firm QBE. I previously served as Chief Claims and Operations Officer at GAB Robins North America, an independent loss adjusting and third party claim administration firm. I founded Claim Diagnostics, a consulting firm specializing in Property Casualty Claim operations, in 2005, following my term as Executive Vice President and Chief Claim Officer for CNA Insurance. I also served as Executive Vice President, Claims for Zurich North America and as the Chief Claims Officer at Maryland Casualty Company and Providence Washington Insurance Company. My executive and leadership experience at small, mid-size and large property casualty companies and at a major independent adjusting firm has given me a broad perspective and the experience and ability to provide expert analysis and insight in a wide range of operating environments. I specialize in helping insurers, TPAs and self-insureds of all sizes optimize claims operations to effectively manage loss costs, improve processing efficiency, and deliver excellent claims service. I have had significant experience in transformational leadership and turnaround situations, and I have proven skills in leadership, team building, stakeholder relationship management, communication, strategic planning, claim and litigation management, organization design, claims technology, change management, knowledge sharing, operational optimization, staff development and performance management.
