I work for a financial services firm with approximately 8,000 employees. We have locations across the US. I am part of our Risk Management Organization's continuity planning team. As an independent contributor, I support all all areas of continuity planning, crisis response, BIAs, BCP development, testing and maintenance. My greatest challenges are the managing the work load and expectations, we are a very small group of individuals and we couldn’t be stretched any thinner. Another is that continuity planning is just one of many activities that falls outside of the regular day to day duties of our customers. Getting and keeping their attention is difficult.
