Safety and Security Risk Management Professional I am highly resourceful, flexible, innovative, and enthusiastic safety and security professional specializing in critical infrastructure protection, maritime security, counter insurgency and OHS. I have over thirty years of applied safety and security experience, knowledge and practical application of Industrial Safety and Security systems gained through formal studies and experience in the South African Para-Military Police and Commercial and Industrial Safety and Security as well as the Oil + Gas Industry environment in South Africa ,South West Africa and the Middle East. Experienced in promoting a safe and secure environment for staff and customers and able to respond effectively to incidents and emergencies. Having extensive knowledge of relevant safety and security equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to deal with emergency situations. Possessing excellent written and oral communication skills and able to write reports to managers about daily activities and irregularities. Specific focus on : • Providing Industry based training in Safety , Security and Audit Compliance - sub-contracted as a free-lance consultant lecturer with Traiconevents http://www.traiconevents.com/index.html • Documenting and ensuring communication of key risks. • Gathering risk-related data from internal or external resources. • Recommending ways to control or reduce risk. • Maintaining input or data quality of risk management systems. • Planning and contributing to development of risk management systems. • Producing reports or presentations that outline findings, explain risk positions, or recommend changes. • Analyzing new legislation to determine impact on risk exposure. • Developing or implementing risk-assessment models or methodologies. • Develop contingency plans to deal with emergencies. • Identifying and analyzing areas of potential risk to the assets, earning capacity, or success of organizations. • Conducting statistical analyses to quantify risk using statistical analysis software or econometric models. • Identifying key risks and mitigating factors of potential investments, such as asset types and values, legal and ownership structures, professional reputations, customer bases, or industry segments. • Meeting with clients to answer queries on subjects such as risk exposure, market scenarios, or values-at-risk calculations. • Conferring with traders to identify and communicate risks associated with specific trading strategies or positions. • Providing statistical modeling advice to other departments. • Tracking, measuring, and reporting on aspects of market risk for traded issues.
