Experience Don recently was global risk manager with Fortune 120 Company with locations in 84 countries and 85% of total revenues outside US. Don maintained a record of planning, organizing and participating in projects that efficiently and effectively achieved corporate objectives. Don has assisted various business units in both the identification of risk as well as the recommendation of mitigation strategies. He had integrated corporate objectives risk management due diligence, program benchmarking, business continuity planning, insurance coverage analysis, risk mapping and calculation of risk appetite. Don’s responsibilities also include development of progressive methodologies to assess, manage and monitor enterprise risks. Specific accomplishments include: • Integrating all global subsidiary insurance programs into the Corporate program achieving a seven million dollar savings • Working with Company network, broker and insurance market to design and manage a Controlled Master Program for the company resulting in savings of 3.5 million dollars per year. This was the first “global” procurement success for the Company and enabled additional “global” procurement successes. • Managed and developed a global EHS team for business continuity and crisis response plan for pandemics and other catastrophes including maintaining the Company’s CSR focus • Created the use of two international benefit pooling arrangements which developed dividends of 1.5 million dollars annually • Worked with global sales teams and created specific risk management/insurance programs outside of corporate program resulting in new business opportunities. Background Prior to being a Risk Manager Don worked in the brokerage industry handling the international risk management needs of large international corporations. His accomplishments include: • Designing and implementing international controlled master programs for the firms larger clients • Opening new offices in the Midwest and developing new business opportunities
