I am an international banking executive and financial risk management professional with expertise in risk management, corporate governance, asset and liability management, fund transfer pricing, capital allocation, treasury areas, financial analysis and advisory service earned over a 20 year career in Central and East Europe, Russia, China and Armenia. During the financial crisis I was Project Manager of the IFC sponsored Russia Banking Advisory Project between 2007 and 2010 where, having relocated to Moscow, I was worked closely with the second and third tier banks among the multi-center financial market in the Russian Federation. The final report constituted the first major investigation into the risk management of the growth levels of the Russian banking sector. Prior to joining the IFC, I served as a Managing Director for OTP Bank Group in Budapest, Hungary. My responsibilities included the managing country, counterparty, market, liquidity, and interest rate risks at Group level as well as sitting on the Board of the OTP Voluntary Pension Fund. I holds several advanced degrees including a PhD in Economics from the Budapest Economics University and a degree in programming mathematics from the ELTE Scientific University (Hungary.) In addition to being a Visiting Professor at the Finance Academy, Moscow, (part of the Government of the Russian Federation) I am an active speaker and presenter at international technical and commercial conferences and roundtables and regularly publishes papers on Risk Management in international journals. A freelance consultant I holds an external directorship as Regional Director, Russia & CIS, at Risk Reward Limited, (London), a global risk management advisory and training firm, since 2011.
