I have been working as a "Assistant Manager - Operational Risk Unit" at JS Bank Ltd in Pakistan since 4th June 2010. Here, I have got an opportunity to hone my managerial and leadership skills. I have also worked in United Bank Ltd as an Assistant Manager - Corporate Quality Assurance Unit. Working as an “Assistant Manager - Operational Risk Unit in JS Bank Limited- Head Office Karachi (3-Jun-2010 till date). Providing support in the development of policies for Operational Risks. Preparation of Risk Assessment Report (RAR) for various business units including Branch Operations, Finance, Trade Finance Department, Credit Administration Department, Treasury Operations, Compliance, Corporate / Commercial Banking Group, Treasury Front Office, Service Quality and ensure that the RARs are effectively implemented throughout all pertinent segments. Making amendments in the policies and procedures as prescribed by the Senior Management. Managing and monitoring Operational Risk Framework as delineated in the JSBL's Operational Risk Policy. Assisting relevant departments in identifying and evaluating operational risks. Collating information (through Key Risk Indicators) from the businesses and support functions with respect to various Operational risks faced by the bank Providing support in the development and implementation of Risk Control Self Assessment Exercise. Preparation of MIS' which contains "Loss Event Database" or Transaction in Difficulty (TID). Analyzing the Loss Event Database according to BASEL II risk categories Providing support in terms of bank’s Business Continuity Policy. Preparing monthly Industry/Sector wise analysis. Assist in reviewing new products to ensure the risk aspects are properly incorporated in bank’s risk management systems. Continuous coordination with the designated operational risk coordinators to implement Operational risk toolkits and ensuring meticulous compliance thereof.
