Gerald F. Ladner is the regional president of the State Auto Insurance Group’s Western Region. State Auto is engaged primarily in writing personal, business and specialty insurance products through approximately 3,300 agencies in 33 states. The State Auto Group includes State Auto Financial Corporation (NASDAQ:STFC) and State Automobile Mutual Insurance Company, which is rated A (Excellent) by the A.M. Best Company. Ladner’s insurance career spans 33 years and includes underwriting, product management, sales and marketing leadership roles with CG/Aetna, CIGNA, Alexander & Co, Zurich North America and Zenith Insurance companies. He has served on a variety of industry-related and non-profit boards including the Texas Medical Liability Joint Underwriting Association (TMLJUA),The Texas Property and Casualty Insurance Guaranty Association (TPCIGA), Allen, Texas Community Outreach, Zurich North America Foundation and as a president of the Rollins College Alumni Association. He was re-elected in May 2013 to the Rollins College board of trustees as a member of it's Audit committee. Ladner supports insurance education through UNT- Glen Taylor Endowed Chair for Insurance and Texas Southern University’s (HBC) Risk Management and Insurance Programs through fundraising and/or providing classroom instruction. He has published articles for Risk Management magazines such as The John Liner Review and The Insurance Journal providing commentary on critical issues affecting the insurance industry. A graduate of Zurich's Executive program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Ladner earned an undergraduate degree from Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla.
