Gökhan has actively worked for 21 years in treasury and capital markets departments; starting his career as a dealer, then asistant manager, manager, treasurer and finally asisstant general manager. He primarily worked for two institutions, Midland Bank A.S. (later named as HSBC Bank A.S.) and Calikbank A.S. (later named as Aktifbank A.S.), in their foreign currency, money market and fixed income securities desks. He was one of the contributors to develop term money market and cash forward money market transactions in TRY and his efforts enabled Midland Bank A.S. to be one of the leading market makers in this field. In 1999, he joined Calikbank A.S., Istanbul as the treasurer during its foundation. He set up their treasury department and later became asistant general manager. He also served as an ALCO member and contributed to the management strategy of the bank. He developed marked-to-marked based performance and market risk measurement and monitoring systems for the treasury. During his years in Calikbank A.S, he was one of the in house consultants for the reorganization of MIS and risk monitoring systems for the finance function of the Calik Group of Companies. In addition, he took part in the due dilligence process for the acquisition of a local bank in Turkey in 2006. In addition to heading up treasury functions, he was also responsible for corresponding banking and financial institutions between 2006-2007. During his banking career, he ocassionaly lectured in Contemporary Management Sciences of Marmara Foundation, Istanbul on treasury and capital markets. He joined Minerva Egitim ve Danismanlik A.S. in 2007. Majority of his clients are in in the financial sector. He has given trainings to banks, financial institutions, the Banking Regulatory and Supervisory Agency (BRSA) and the Banks Association of Turkey (TBB). He has also given lectures to the Azerbeijani and Albanian banking employees, in Istanbul and Baku on behalf of TBB. SpecialtiesHe has been in the banking sector directly and indirectly since 1990. His main areas of expertise in training includes treasury products, treasury management, derivative products, credit derivatives, investment products, marketing and selling of treasury, derivative & investment products in retail and corporate banking, fundamentals of banking, risk management, treasury auditing, pricing and efficiency in banking, private banking, venture capital & private equity, macro economic indicators.
