I have worked at the Hyundai Heavy Industries, Co. Ltd. the world largest shipyard as a senior management of design office/HSE part/Construction yards, respectively. From year 2012 until now, I am a AIC Research Professor of UNIST(Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology)in South Korea. Through the my career as a Chief Safety officer at the large and heavy industry field, I have experienced lots of challenges like building fairly good company safe culture, safety program enhancement, site implementation management, safety education and etc., which I still feel strong pride for the accomplishment as a Chief HSE Officer and level up the company safety culture and advanced safety awareness and records. Here I mentioned below my introduction cover letter for the person who is seeking for a proper candidate who may perform high level HSE management at a certain project sites or organization. ---------------------------------------------- Dear Sirs I have complete HSE implementation experiences of the complicated and large size project’s works like offshore plant construction and ship building together with legitimate engineering knowledge and construction management career at the largest shipbuilding company (Hyundai Heavy Ind., Co. Ltd.) in South Korea for 33 years. The projects I was in charge were all mixed diversity construction works also including in/outside subcontract companies and large number of workers. Those are the tough works like Welding, Gas Cutting, Heavy Transport/ Heavy Lifting, Erection, Painting Works, Working at Height, High Pressure Work, Confine Space Entry, Test /Trial, Dockyard/Quay Works and etc. My role as a Chief Safety Officer was buildup the Safe Culture and HSE Policy in the whole shipyard, Specific Procedure Setup and Control, Safety Program Enhancement, employee Education/Campaign Induction, Assessment, Supervision Management, Prevention/Protection Duties, Fire Brigade Control and etc. to lead the people to understand that the Safety is Top Priority where the most people thought that the business performance and goal accomplishment are the first. I am not a certain disciplinary safety engineer nor a safety supervisor but a manager with accountability to make the work site safe through practical implementations using my experience and engineering knowledge at the most complicated heavy industry business. I am looking for a proper job as site HSE management or construction superintendent or similar. As I have operated many large scale projects and organizations for a long time with expert management capability to lead and motivate a lot of internal and external resources to support goals, I do believe my extensive career and experience would be helpful for the work site to lead the successful project completion and good cooperation with concerned parties. I could also adopt other job proposals which may suitable with my career. HSE Management as a Chief Safety Officer - Chief Safety Officer (buildup safety culture and procedures setup.) - Organized and operated HSE management Team (Implementation, setting safety manual and procedures like confine space entry, hot work, working at hight.. , work permit, ine space entry, working at high, fire / evacuation drill..), - Archived world class advanced industry accident rate in HHI. - Safety Champion during the construction of various oil major offshore projects and completed safe - Hosted the International Client Safety Forum in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2008. - Settled TBM (Tool Box Meeting) as a workers involvement safety program. - Settled I I F ( Incident Injury Free ) program as an Emotional Safety Culture - Settled/Operated Safety Promotion Education. - Settled/Operated Safe Education Program in CCTV Network. - Established HSE Management Procedures in HHI. - Established/Operated WEB based EAP (Employee mental Assistance Program) in HHI. - Participated/Act as a key member of Industrial Safety and Health Committee in KEF (Korean Employer Federation). - Developed U-Safety Program using ubiquitous wireless network at complex work site for detection of fire, hot work, explosive gas accumulation, human movement, oxygen and etc. - Developed WEB base Crane Collision Prevention System.( Collaboration Project Between IT and Ship building Industries) - Archived new record of 10,000,000 Hours no accident/Incident at HHI Shipyard in 2009.
