Graduated from the Southeast College of Technology and initially worked in high volume manufacturing environments specializing in the component level diagnosis of UNIX and windows based CAD/CAM systems and PC motherboards and peripherals. His UNIX expertise landed him in the heart of the UNIX birthplace, AT&T Bell Labs, where he managed UNIX System V Release IV systems for AT&T Solutions. It was here that he first realized the power and need for client - server environments and supported hundreds of financial systems and accountants that supported AT&T. The spin off to Lucent Technologies meant he would now be responsible for some of the largest wide area networks in the world supporting the US Department of Defense, Master Card, VISA, Merrill Lynch, and American Express. These environments were managed by Openview with Optivity and eventually grew into additional network-wide management with CA Unicenter, CA eHealth, and CA Spectrum. After spending time as MIS director for a video teleconferencing company, Kent made his way to the Pacific Northwest to begin the rapid deployment of people, process, and technologies supporting some of the biggest names in the dot com explosion like AT&T fixed wireless, TeraBeam, and RX.com to name a few. It was after the dot com era that Kent began his Pre-sales engineering work as a systems consultant for Concord Communications specializing in the eHealth and Spectrum set of solutions with customers that span the entire West coast, Hawaii, Alaska, Denver, and Phoenix. The Pre-sales career path would continue with some of the biggest players in the space like Mercury Interactive, Quest Software, CA Technologies, and network and security Netflow solutions from Lancope. All of this CA enterprise IT capability is now brought to the small to medium sized business via Hosted Solutions International. Specialties: Delivering Fortune 1000 Enterprise IT monitoring solutions to small and medium sized businesses in any vertical, and in any geographic location.
