A physicist by education, from 1998 to 2002 I was head of Market Risk Research at Raiffeisen Bank, Budapest. After this I returned to academia, but kept an interest and continued to publish in risk management, portfolio theory and regulation. Presently I am retired and a honorary professor of finance at the Investment and Corporate Finance Department of Corvinus University, Budapest. I am still active in research, affiliated to the Parmenides Foundation in Pullach b. Muenchen, Germany.
