I am a Regional Risk Manager with Omega Risk Management in Nairobi. We are in Security and disater management, Business continuity management (Change Process), Risk and Loss Prevention, Security audits and Security Consultancy. I previously worked with the Kenya Police force for twelve years until March 2011. I am holder of a degree in Information Technology from Strathmore University, Licenciate in Management of Information Systems(LIMIS-UK) and also, a Certified Fraud examiner and currently pursuing a Masters program at United States International University, graduating on 20/8/2011. The challenges currently being faced include proper Human resources Management, Lack of understanding of the need for risk management among our Clientiele despite the fact that Risk management is not a new concept. What we are doing as an organization is creating awareness to our clients and coming up with products that capture the current market trends in risk management and promoting awareness through training, advertising, seminars and other forums.
