I began life as an auditor, progressed to various finance based roles in investment banking and eventually found my way into the wonderful world of treasury during which I spent 4 years in Hong Kong and am now back in London to build up a new venture. I am fascinated by the role that treasury plays within financial institutions as the “bank within a bank”, I adore the City and the financial markets (especially the minutiae and the more esoteric elements) and I am passionate about building a business focused on risk management, ALM and hedge accounting. I am currently the managing director of Marischal Consulting, an independent consulting firm based in London, and the CEO of 'Distributed Treasury' a project to offer consulting, training, cash management and other services for entities where treasury management is not a core competence.
