I own and actively participate in a knowledge network of specialists who understand emerging media. I speak and consult about the risks and opportunities of using social media platforms, especially as they are integrating into traditional broadcast media. I am continually researching case studies where companies have used social media platforms to create conversations and how they manage their reputation when things go wrong. I usually tailor my presentations and in-company workshops to ensure we focus on practical advice on the near future. We avoid brainstorming without conclusions, or focusing too much on the distant future which no-one can influence.
