An analyst and advisor with experience in the middle east, central asia, and north Africa. I am basesd in Dubai and looking for long term contract and emplloyment opportunites in the region. I am currently working in Juba, South Sudan with the United Nations peacekeeping mission, UNMISS, as an information analyst specilising in early warning. I spent two years in Afghanistan working for the United Nations political mission as an analyst developing early warning political risk system. I have a proven track record with crisis response and worked in the United Nations Peacekeeping Situation Centre for three years, responding to such crises as: - the attack on the Turkish flotilla carrying aid to the Gaza strip (2010); - the Haiti earthquake (2010); - the Afghanistan presidential elections (2009); - the attack on the UNAMA Bakhtar guesthouse in Afghanistan (2009); - the Georgia War (2008); - the assassination attempt on President Ramos-Horta in Timor-Leste (2008); - the UNMIN helicopter crash in Nepal (2008); - the assassination of Benazir Bhutto in Pakistan (2007); - the assault on the UNMIK District Court House in Mitrovica, Serbia (2008). I am educated at the Master's level in international relations and cultural anthropology, with post-graduate diplomas in diplomacy, counter-terrorism and security analysis.
