Kathleen Murray - VP, Global Market Development at FARO Technologies, the world leader in 3D laser measurement technology. Kathy has been engaged in a range of industries and initiatives...an entrepreneur, whether in corporate environments, small businesses or start-ups. Now engaged with FARO, the world’s most trusted source for 3D measurement technology. Other on-going activities include: * Partner of BoardmyBiz.com (Online community for small business owners to match with advisory board members) * Board Member of Verity Wines LLC (Wine distributor in NY and NJ for 300 producers from 14 global wine-producing regions), * Trustee on the University of Rochester Board, * Fellow at the Foreign Policy Association, * Membership Co-Chair for Harvard Business School Angels of NY, * Member of Executive Forum and leading Angel sub-group, * leadership roles at other organizations. In addition, she is building a portfolio as an angel investor. Previously, Kathy created and led functions at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as Managing Director of Operations. These functions included sourcing/procurement, security, crisis management, operational risk management, records management, travel services, meeting/event management, real estate/facilities, supplier diversity …and the technology to enable these functions. Prior to 2000, she was at Aetna as Senior VP of Aetna Retirement Services and as COO of Aetna Business Resources. She began her career in sales and marketing leadership roles at Aetna and at INA. Staff reporting to her has been over 3000 people with related budgets of $550 million, as well as the accountability for the firms’ spends of over $3 billion. * BA in Math and Science from the University of Rochester * Advanced Management Program degree from Harvard Business School. * Society of CPCU (Chartered Property & Casualty) degree and CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) degree She earlier served on the Board of New England Mechanical Services, a $70 million commercial HVAC firm.
