For the last eight years I have provided senior leadership to risk assessment and security planning related programs for the National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD) of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). I was responsible for developing the Strategic Plan for the Office of Infrastructure Protection, developing the organizational structure, mission essential functions documentation, and strategic planning for the Risk Management and Analysis Office, and establishing a program management office for acquisitions for the National Cyber Security Directorate of NPPD. Accordingly, I have an intimate working knowledge of a variety of risk mitigation plans and have an intimate familiarity with the National Infrastructure Protection Plan, The National Response Framework, and a host of other “foundation” documents for DHS. I’ve developed several innovative mission support tools focused on risk mitigation, human resource management, budgeting, and acquisitions/procurement. I have a DHS TS/SCI clearance. Prior to supporting DHS, I was a senior management consultant to major corporations on business risk related issues. I became a Certified Fraud Examiner specializing in breach of fiduciary responsibility and business process reengineering. I also have a long history of highly successful business development efforts. Over the years, I have repeatedly been recognized for innovative problem solving and becoming a trusted advisor to senior executives in the private sector and Senior Executive Service personnel in the Federal Government.
