Risk Maneger at Jet Time. M.Sc. in Economics and Management http://dk.linkedin.com/in/larsbjerre I seek new challenges after working as a Risk Manager at an airline in two years after graduation. As a Risk Manager at an airline I have experience with hedging fuel and currency, including various derivatives, knowledge of CO2 emission from the European Union Emission trading scheme etc. Apart from this I have traded stocks and bonds since 2000. With this, I seek a job as stepping stone to further my career in the fuel and/or trading business in an international environment and continue with a steep learning curve and continuously develop my carrier. When I am not sitting with hedging in my daily work, I can offer my diverse experiences in various analyzes, modelling, budgeting and forecasting, reconciliation and other ad-hoc tasks which mainly is done in MS Excel. In addition to this I make market updates to clients during negotiations of larger contracts, have daily correspondence with home and foreign fuel suppliers, are responsible for tendering process of yearly fuel delivery, participate in the work of bank tendering etc. Additionally I have continued for a few nights a week in my old student job as a telephone consultant at an insurance company. From this I can contribute with negotiation skills and not taking no for an answer. I am among the most effective consultants, and the constant result-oriented focus, motivates me. From my financial education I can contribute with my analytical skills and a structured and technical progress to solve problems. Moreover, as relatively recent graduate, I have the latest theory and knowledge in business economic subjects such as securities and their markets, investment and trading, risk management, strategy, financial reporting and analysis, corporate finance, and national economic subjects as well. My master thesis was about valuation of real options - “Valuation of Real Options – Valuing Project and Investments under Uncertainty”. As a person I am ambitious, conscientious, energetic and flexible, and am always willing to give a hand in hectic situations. I feel good when I am surrounded by people and have always had good relationships with colleagues and managers. From my current and previous work, I am used to work independently as well as in teams to meet deadlines. I am open minded, love challenges and am eager to learn new things. I have a pleasant and friendly appearance with humour and have highly professional approach to my work. In my spare time I am active with bike riding (road and MTB), gym and running, listening to music and reading non-fiction literature.
