Mr Bikuri is currently the Managing Director and lead Consultant with Risk Management Group Ltd, A regional consulting firm based in Nairobi serving organizations in Eastern Africa specializing in Risk Management, Corporate Governance, Due diligence and business analysis, Ethics ,Fraud and Corruption prevention, Internal auditing , Compliance support , Board advisory, Board Audit Committee support and training, Business Continuity, Independent loan book reviews, Asset verification , Business processes and controls. Martin Bikuri previously was the General Manager- Enterprise Risk Division at K-Rep Bank for over three years. Prior, he was the Chief Internal Auditor in the same bank for over seven years. He has served in various committees and task forces both at K-Rep Bank and K-Rep Group Holding Company and Subsidiaries. Mr. Bikuri has devoted more than a decade to designing and instituting viable and sustainable micro credit and savings strategies. Over the ten years he worked for K-Rep Bank and K-Rep group, Martin Bikuri developed extensive practical skills in banking and micro finance operations, leadership, and governance and organization transformation. Currently, Mr Bikuri is the Vice Chairman and Training Coordinator, Institute of Internal Auditors - Kenya. Martin Bikuri has spent close to ten years advocating for adoption of best practices both in internal auditing and risk management professions in Eastern Africa. . Mr Bikuri is a prominent speaker in conferences and workshops in Africa in areas of internal auditing, risk management, Board Audit Committee dynamics, Micro finance, banking and public sector financial management, service delivery, procurement and strategic planning. Mr Bikuri holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Major in Economics from the University of Nairobi. He is a certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and a Micro finance Practitioner. In 2010, Martin Bikuri was awarded a scholarship to study advanced risk management in Finance and Banking by Swedish International Development Authority (SIDA) which enabled to travel to Stockholm Sweden and South Africa subsequently being awarded a Diploma in Advanced Risk Management. Martin Bikuri is a certified Trainer and Consultant with Institute of Internal Auditors.
