He has held the position of Assistant Vice President of Field claims Operations for Colonial Penn Insurance Company as well as several territorial claims management positions in several east coast states. He retired from Allstate in March 2010, after an exemplary career in sales management, achieving nine corporate sales leadership awards and regional recognition for his teaching and mentoring skills with subordinates and peer managers.   Michael earned a Masters degree in Leadership Development from Penn State University, School of Graduate Professional Studies, Great Valley, PA.; he was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the International Honor Society for Business School’s excellence in May of 2010. Michael holds Insurance certifications from the American College of Insurance, Malvern, PA., and a Bachelors of Science degree in Sociology, from Saint Joseph’s University, Phila. PA. Beyond the business area, Michael’s most recent post-academic accomplishments include co-authoring a chapter in the book, The Psychology of Workplace Technology for the prestigious Society for Industrial & Organizational Psychology (SIOP) Frontiers Series. The text has an expected publication date in the winter of 2012. He has received recent recognition for his research work in an updating of the manual, Leadership Models, Methods, and Applications, completed in 2011; and he made a brief contribution to the book, Full Range Leadership Development, published in 2010. Michael is a former resident of Villanova, Pennsylvania. He recently relocated to St. Johns, Fla. however spends one to two weeks a month in the firm’s Plymouth Meeting PA. Office.  He serves on the National Alumni Board for Saint Joseph’s University, Phila. PA (2009-present) and is Chairman of the Alumni Programs and Services committee.
