I am a professor and specialize in organized and corporate crime, esp. in the area of AML, CFT, anti-corruption and counter-proliferation finance. Published more than 130 articles, book chapters, reports and books in 11 languages. His manuscripts include the Legislative Guides for the Implementation of the UN Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) and the UN Convention Against Transnational Organized Crime (UNTOC), The UN Convention against Corruption as a Way of Life, It’s Legal but It Ain’t Right: Harmful Social Consequences of Legal Industries. Authored reports on terrorism finance, the trade in commodities, procurement fraud, corruption asset recovery, governance and development. Editor of the international journal Crime, Law and Social Changel, associate editor in several other journals and a Director of the International Society of Criminology. I offer training for public and private sector officials. Served as expert witness in court cases or public hearings and consulted with law firms, financial institutions, consulting companies and organizations, such as the IMF, the World Bank, other multilateral and bilateral institutions, the United Nations, the European Union, OECD, OSCE, Interpol, the US National Academy of Sciences, and government agencies in all continents.
