Pure Risk Consulting Principal, Richard Michel is a former Managing Director and 25 year veteran of Marsh, the world’s leading risk advisor and insurance broker. He is an accomplished leader with extensive experience as a Client Executive for companies with complex risks and a successful history of helping clients create innovative alternative program designs to significantly reduce volatility and lower total cost of risk. He spent a portion of his career as an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) consultant and has the ability to apply ERM principles to a broad range of risk management issues, enhancing value and increasing client success. In his last role at Marsh, he developed and implemented innovative strategies for winning new and expanded business opportunities and retaining “at risk” clients. He created a national practice with a methodology and process that enabled Marsh to significantly increase their rate of success when competing for client business.
