I am a senior leader, with over 17 years experience in the areas of Risk Management, Compliance and Operational Internal Audit and controls; 13 of which have been in a senior leadership capacity. During this time i have worked predominantly in the Retail, Financial Services and Travel Industries. I am a detail oriented self motivator who is also able to see the 'big picture', and communicate complex issues in simple terms appropriate to the intended audience. I have experience communicating and working with senior executives and staff at all levels, and have implemented and maintained Risk and Control systems based on SOX, COSO, and Solvency II. As Vice President, Risk Management, Compliance and Legal, my current responsibilities are Chief Privacy Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Risk Officer, Business Continuity, and legal Liaison. I am an appointed Officer and Deputy Secretary of the Canadian legal entities of Allianz Global Assistance. I also act as Chair of the Regulatory Affairs Committee for the travel insurance industry group, "Travel Health Insurance Association (THiA)".
