I am a National Epic EHR IT Systems Trainer, who travels the country training hospital clinicians on Epic Electronic Health Record documentation process and procedures as it aligns to their specific workflow and patient population. My goal is to continue to marry my healthcare studies, Educational Psychology background, academic teaching credentials with the current healthcare electronic healthcare maturation and process. I have earned Epic training credentials from a number of healthcare facilities I have trained at and hope to secure a sponsorship to earn my Epic Certification within Clin Doc, CPOM and Stork documentation applications. I currently write in healthcare industry blogs, discussions and debates regarding the various changes taking place in the patient care paradigm. I an active voice for patient/provider direct pay as an option for patients and physicians to complete the fee for service reimbursement. Medical Insurance company policy premiums have gotten out of hand and fuel inappropriate pricing from hospitals and providers. Direct patient pay programs will embolden a more competitive healthcare pricing and create a true one on one patient engagement that has been lost since the conception of medical insurance companies.
