I hold an M.Sc. in Integrated Water Resource Management from McGill University. Prior to this I was working for the Ontario provincial government as an Emergency Management Advisor while earning my MA at York University in Disaster and Emergency Management. I completed my undergraduate degree at McGill University where I majored in International Development and GIS. Currently I am gaining experience in clean energy and waste management with a biogas development company in Toronto. As well I am working on integrating mobile technology to aid WASH (Water, Sanitation, Healthy and Hygiene) and disaster and emergency management with Random Hacks of Kindness (www.rhok.org) through a project I co-founded called Water Voices. The goal of Water Voices is to improve water and sanitation conditions across the globe by providing communities and organizations with a geo-spatial story-telling platform. I have great insight and understanding of geo-spatial data, water technology, cost recovery infrastructure, and clean energy. I also have strong research, analytical, and communication skills. I am hoping to gain experience working in any capacity that would leverage my specialized skill set. I would bring a distinct perspective to the team by combining extensive academic experience and fieldwork. I have widespread experience in giving and creating presentations, especially with Prezi. Both my master’s degrees have taught me how to work independently, provided me with an unshakable calmness under pressure, and a thirst for understanding complex problems with a drive for solutions.
