MLitt Candidate in International Security Studies and a First Class Honours graduate in Politics and International Relations. A proven history in policy analysis and research, and political communications. An additional background in law, including EU law, international trade regulations, and immigration/human rights law. Communications/Social Media Director BlueWave PAC / BlueWave NJ June 2012 – Present Montclair, NJ BlueWave PAC is a progressive organisation that has successfully trained thousands of volunteers who helped elect progressive candidates in local and national races. My energies are focused on supporting the re-election of President Barack Obama in 2012 through grassroots public education and community mobilisation. • I have devised and implemented a number of strategies to positively drive engagement with voters communicate our message to target audiences, under time and budget restraints. • My main focus has been developing a creative media program to increase our reach. To this end I devised an internet video campaign. I recruited professional volunteers to film and edit, and organized a two-day shoot. The first of the series will be shown at the Democratic National Convention 2012. • I took over management of BWPAC Facebook page, increasing our weekly reach by over 300% in one month. I have established a BWPAC twitter account and a blog to drive engagement with voters. • Produced promotional material to publicise major events including a discussion with MSNBC’s Chris Hayes. • Manage a committee of 15 volunteers.
