I was an invited speaker at the "Safety in Resources" conference in Perth in February 2013. My presentation was on "Improving Your Safety Culture" which was well received. Whilst I am not a professional speaker, I am happy to speak about my knowledge and experience in a subject matter I believe am well versed in. The presentation covered areas including 'Exploring the safety culture journey', '4 steps in the safety culture journey', 'Identifying safety behaviour within the workforce', 'Encouraging and rewarding safety behaviour within workforce' and 'Identifying and dealing with limitations and set-backs'. My knowledge of the OHS Legislation and Regulations are exemplary, and my research skills are of a high standard and thoroughly conducted. I am a typically hands on person when it comes to problem solving issues in the workplace and OH&S matters are of particular interest. I currently have the rapport and respect of both management and my peers due to the professionalism I display and the commitment given to closing out identified issues. This includes managing of diversity issues. My goal is to become a leader in safety over the next 3 - 5 years. Specialties: 1. Passion for the safety,health and welfare of all people. 2.
