I am the founding member of Center for Developmental Studies (CDS). I am also the member of the Academic Disciplinary Committee of the Ethiopian Civil Service University. D. Papers Presented I have produced and presented papers at Jimma, Addis Ababa and Arba Minch Universities, Addis Ababa City Administration and Oromia Regional State on issues like: Federalism and Human Rights Protection; The Role of Federalism in Building Democratic System; Federalism and Conflict Resolution; Federalism, Constitution and Constitutionalism; Federalism and Resource Sharing (Fiscal Federalism); Human Rights of Vulnerable Group (women and children), Criminal law and Women; and the like. I have presented a paper entitled, ‘Governance and Justice Sector Reform in Addis Ababa City Administration’, a research paper presented during the 125th Anniversary of the Establishment of Addis Ababa City in 2012. I was a member of a Committee that prepared the draft Criminal Procedure of Oromia Regional State. I have presented a paper entitled ‘The Role of the Youth during Election time’, a paper presented at Adama Organized by Oromia Youth Federation in 2013. I have presented a paper entitled ‘Local Government and election’, a paper presented at Addis Ababa to the 31 University presidents, different associations, civic societies and representatives of Addis Ababa City Residents Organized by Addis Ababa City Administration and CDS in 2013. I have presented a paper entitled ‘the History of the Ethiopian Defense Force and the Role of the Military in Building Democratic System’ a paper presented at Addis Ababa during the 1st Annual Defense Forces Anniversary Day celebrated on 15th of February, 2013. Furthermore, I have given trainings to members of the House of Peoples Representatives on basic laws, including constitution and federalism for four consecutive months for three rounds. I have given training on ‘Tax Laws of Ethiopia’ to trainers/instructors of the Management Institute of the South Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Regional State in 2012. I have given training on ‘Intergovernmental Relations’ to the Directors and Department Heads of Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Ethiopia in 2013. I have participated in the preparation of the ‘Manual of Civic and Voters’ Education’ prepared and funded by the National Electoral Board of Ethiopia and the UNDP respectively. Moreover, I have presented different papers organized and funded by the National Electoral Board of Ethiopia and the UNDP respectively.
