My name is Aken Mathew I come from the highlands region of papua new guinea. I am a trade instructor teaching in the field of timber and forestry industry for more than 8 years. I am currently teaching sawmill engineering course at the timber & forestry college at png university of technology lae- Papua new guinea. While teaching, I see the need in providing quality and comfortable houses to the people who are living in the village. I want to use my experience and expertise in sawmilling industry to build affordable houses for my people who have the resources (land, river, trees and even the untouched forest)but lack knowledge and capital. I hope to write up a project proposal to donor agencies for capital funding and also assist in providing machineries like chainsaws and small portable sawmills. I hope to offer this incentive for the betterment of my community and the country and im optimistic of a possible grant from any like minded person who is reading this outlines..
