Based on practical exercises, best practice examples, pitfalls, and comparisons, participants acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to use ISO 31000 when developing a Risk Management practice, product or program, or to critically review their existing GRC applications against the international standard.
During the training, we present ISO 31000 Risk Management, ISO 31010 Risk Assessment Techniques and ISO Guide 73 Risk Management Vocabulary.

Johannes has been in the GRC industry for nearly 14 years producing and implementing large-scale GRC and supporting information technology projects worldwide. Johannes has led multiple GRC vendors to leader and visionary positions and recognition in Governance, Risk and Compliance analyst reports with special notations for unique vision that supports an organization’s “strategy, risk management, performance and sustainability” goals. Johannes is a 2016 MSc Threat and Response Management candidate, holds BA degree in Risk Management from the DePaul University in Chicago, IL, and University of South Africa and studies B.Comm at the University of South Africa. Johannes is continuing his graduate education in Threat and Response Management, and certificate programs in Crisis Leadership and Emergency Management at the University of Chicago. Johannes has been a certified trainer of the ISO 31000 Foundations course leading to individual certification in ISO 31000, the international risk management standard, since December 2012. Johannes holds certifications in risk based decision making, sustainability as well as the GRC – governance, risk and compliance professional certification (GRCP) and software engineering certifications.
