Community Manager Introduction

Hello Everyone,

 

My name is Ater Mawut Mayen and I will be the new Community Manager for the Global Risk Community. I bring with me several years of experience in sales in the fields of B2B (Business to Business), Inside Sales, Businesses Development, and Business Advising. I have acquired months of educational knowledge in digital marketing from online coursework and I also bring an exceptional amount of experience with technology by my experience in web development and computer programming.

 

I spend my free time reading books especially in the area of self-help and poetry. I also volunteer for two local non-profits The Omaha Talons and The South Sudanese Youth Congress working with at risk youth to strengthen, empower, and encourage youth in surrounding communities to pursue education and build better communities around them.

 

As your Community Manager I would love to know more about what content the community prefers (for example financial risk, ERM/ORM, Cyber security, etc.) and the forms of delivery for the content (blog posts, white papers, videos, case studies, etc.). I look forward to engaging with you all and do not hesitate to send any questions or comments my way.

If risk management is about decision making, are current risk management solutions irrelevant?

A question related to classification of instruments between trading and banking book.

We have an interesting question from one of our members.       "We usually perform OTC FX transactions with clients backed-to-back on the market (with Banks). Now we are going to perform a FX swap (i.e. Spot + forward) JPY/EUR for the Bank account for 1 week at the longest. The purpose is to get EUR place @ CB for LCR compliance purpose (no trading purposes).
