International conference on the maritime piracy issue

Dear Colleagues,

please allow me to inform you for the International conference which we organized in Bulgaria on 11-12.11.2010. The particular information about the event is available on the website www.transportpolicy.org. We are going to publicize the materials of the conference soon, but if some of you are interested to receive them, please call me.
As a result of the event, the International Advisory Board  for the problems of transportation security in general was established. First members became prof. Alexander Yankov, Frederik Van Wijnen, Bjorn Hoove, David Shimp, Jon Huggins, Ephraim Sneh, Simon Jines, prof. Boyan Mednikarov, capt. Marin Petrov, capt. Dimitar Dimitrov, capt. Alexander Alexandrov and me. Our first step is to present to the EC and government bodies of the countries which we represent our expert summary about the Maritime piracy and some changes in international maritime legislation necessary to effectively deal of the problem.

A question related to classification of instruments between trading and banking book.

We have an interesting question from one of our members.       "We usually perform OTC FX transactions with clients backed-to-back on the market (with Banks). Now we are going to perform a FX swap (i.e. Spot + forward) JPY/EUR for the Bank account for 1 week at the longest. The purpose is to get EUR place @ CB for LCR compliance purpose (no trading purposes).
