Bio-medical waste means any waste which is created during the treatment, diagnosis or immunization of human beings or animals or research activities concerning to it or in the creation or testing of biological or in health camps, including the levels mentioned in Schedule I added to these rules;

Bio-medical waste treatment and disposal facility indicates any facility wherein treatment, disposal of bio-medical waste or methods related to such treatment and disposal is taken out, and covers common biomedical waste management treatment facilities;
