I am a highly experienced professional with a diverse legal, elections, and training background. I have made significant contributions to developing and improving electoral processes in Iraq. Throughout my career, I have provided technical advice and assistance to the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC), focusing on drafting amendments to electoral laws, regulations, and rules to meet international standards while considering Iraq's unique circumstances.
My expertise extends to promoting inclusivity and transparency in elections, with a particular emphasis on women's participation as voters and candidates. I have advised on fraud mitigation strategies and helped develop mechanisms for regulating and monitoring campaign finances. Additionally, I have been actively involved in electoral dispute resolution and the adjudication of electoral complaints.
In my capacity as a trainer and expert, I have collaborated closely with the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) to draft procedures and training manuals for various IHEC departments. I have conducted training sessions for key stakeholders, including the Elections Judicial Panel, Councilors Committee, and political parties' representatives, to enhance their understanding of international standards for free and fair elections.
