International Strategic Advisory Services with a focus on Asia. i have worked in both the public and private sectors serving as Director of Southeast Asia Affairs at the White House, Office of the U.S. Trade Representative and as a U.S. diplomat in India and China. From 2008-2009 I was a Council on Foreign Relations-Hitachi International Affairs Fellow based in Japan. I previously worked raising venture capital for and managing several technology start-ups as a director of a Virginia-based corporate incubator. My articles and commentary have appeared in The New York Times, Foreign Affairs, Newsweek Japan, The Council on Foreign Relations, and The Diplomat, among others.
