This is a very interesting article Gloria and congratulations on your PhD. I agree and recently gave a presentation on similar research (there is a large and growing base of research on Cognitive Auditing that you may be aware of) that discusses similar findings.
The attached presentation is a focus on Heuristics and biases in Auditing that may be broader than your paper but speaks to a variety of cognitive issues relate the challenge of detecting Fraud during audits. This is a multidimensional issue but your paper clearly points out one of the key dangers.
