Matthew Mark Horn is a passionate, dedicated and tireless advocate whose diverse and non- traditional career path focusing on and holistically utilizing international law, human rights, government relations (legislative and regulatory), political and diplomatic outreach, and the assistance of international and domestic organizations to combat anti-corruption and global financial crimes, particularly those with a nexus to human exploitation and suffering, human trafficking and modern slavery.
He has worked at the highest-levels in a career that spans nearly four decades. He advises a diverse international and domestic clientele on a wide-range of complex international, diplomatic, legal and policy matters and transactions related to compliance, governance and global financial crimes.
Matthew proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and sustained injuries while serving on active duty overseas. While his injuries ended his military service and intended career, he refused to allow them to impact insatiable intellectual curiosity and life-long obsession with learning.
Matt's a Boston University School of Law LLM scholar, Financial Services Compliance program; earned his law JD at Pace University School of Law along with Certificates in International Law and International Trade Law; a Diploma in European Legal Studies, Tulane University School of Law (Sciences Po & University of Siena), received his B.A., summa cum laude, from Farleigh-Dickinson Universit; and attended the United States Naval Academy as a Secretary of the Navy enlisted Marine appointee.
His numerous awards and decorations include the Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service and the Order of Stjepan Radic, bestowed by the President of the Republic of Croatia for his pro bono work assisting Croatia during critical junctures in its NATO Accession Process and for strengthening US-Croatia relations.
