Over the last two years, capital adequacy and stress testing have become a major cost to US banks. In the wake of the 15-18 and 15-19 supervisory letters released by the Fed in December 2015, institutions are still learning the best stress testing methodologies, and adapting to the Fed’s expectations. The guidance put forth in the Fed’s letters have caused confusion amongst banks of varying sizes, and there is a lack of clarity as to how the Fed’s expectations will change in the future.
This premier GFMI conference will help institutions get a better handle on the Fed’s guidelines in order to successfully implement stress testing for capital optimization. Attendees will receive clarification on the SR 15-18 and 19 from members of the Federal Reserve Board, and will discuss the best practices for stress testing, modeling PPNR and counterparty credit risk, and the impact of RWAs on capital strategy. Institutions will also gain insight into the future of capital standardization, and the evolution of capital standards for the trading book.
