Come join the International Energy Credit Association (IECA) this fall to celebrate a special milestone of 90 years! The conference will be held in Palm Desert, California at the Desert Springs JW Marriott Resort & Spa from October 5 – 8, 2014. The weather will be superb this time of year for golf, tennis and pool-side networking. We have planned some special activities in recognition of this milestone.
Three top notch keynote speakers have been secured starting with Dr. Mark Zandi’s global economic update on Monday morning, October 6. Zandi is the chief economist for Moody’s Analytics. Kit Welchin is next up on Tuesday, October 7, with his presentation “Are You an Effective Negotiator or Does the Very Idea of Negotiation Make You Feel Like A Loser?” On Wednesday morning, October 8, Dr. Michelle Michot Foss gives a global update on the state of energy with a special focus on natural gas. Foss is the Chief Energy Economist and Program Manager for the Bureau of Economic Geology’s Center for Energy Economics at the University of Texas (Austin).
In addition to the keynote speakers, 17 educational sessions are offered on a range of topics covering credit and risk management, legal and contracts, trading and clearing, and other relevant issues for the energy sector. The IECA Credit Risk Management Certification Program course “Concepts of Credit and Liquidity Analysis” will also be offered at the conference. In addition, the IECA Trade Show 2014 will run for 7 hours during designated times from Sunday evening through Tuesday evening.
